Upcoming WCPS Technology Maintenance

Over the winter break, the WCPS Technology Department will be updating and enhancing the WCPS network. This will require a full shutdown of the network, which will impact WCPS programs and operating systems.

This work will be completed on Tuesday, December 29 from 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. During this time, users will not have access to programs like ParentVUE/StudentVUE. WCPS school WiFi hot spots will also be unavailable. Students will still be able to access the Google Suite (i.e. Google Classroom) from a home internet connection.

Reminder: Do Not Record Virtual Classes

It is important that Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) protect the privacy of both students and staff. WCPS online classes, in any portion, may not be recorded by parents, guardians, or students due to federal and state legal restrictions. It is a violation to record any content that includes the voice, likeness, or other identifying features of students or staff.

Teachers may provide pre-recorded lessons for asynchronous activities that should be maintained in Google Classrooms.

Happy Holidays from WCPS!
